ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

February 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
the beginning of Lent.

The 40 week-day period before Easter is called Lent, a time of preparing our minds and hearts
to receive God’s message of hope and salvation. It is a time of self-examination and self-discipline
which begins on Ash Wednesday.

Join us at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Richmond VA for:

Sunday School for adults and children at 9:45 A.M.
Sunday 11 A.M. worship throughout the year in the sanctuary

Girl Scout Troop 603 meets Tuesdays,. We welcome girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Daisies (K/ 1st grade) – 6:30–7:00 (parents please stay). Brownies (2nd/3rd grade) – 6:30–7:00 (parents please stay). Juniors (4th – 6th grade) – 7:00 – 8:00. Cadettes (6th – 12th grade) – 7:00 – 8:00. Troop Leaders are Lenore Parker and Debbie Dugger. We have a fun year of scouting planned including camping, community service, badges, patches and, of course, COOKIES!!! Please call the church office (804-276-1749) with questions.
