Adult Sunday School Classes at Southminster Presbyterian Church
VARIED SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES INTERESTING and EDUCATIONAL
Adults: There is something for everyone. Look for the fall brochure that describes the six Sunday School offerings for adults. The Women’s Bible, Men’s Pioneer and the Adult Bible Study Sunday School classes follow the Uniform Series of Bible Study. The Christian Life and Contemporary Issues classes choose a variety of topics and books to study and discuss. All classes invite interested adults to participate.
Children: Question for Parents: Where did you first hear the story of Noah’s Ark or Joseph and his coat? Where will your children hear these stories? Where will they learn the basics of the Christian faith and what it means to be a Christian? Sunday School provides the basic foundation for discipleship through education, and Southminster has a committed group of teachers ready to provide this foundation. The Sunday School hour is 9:45 – 10:45, with classrooms in the education wing. See you on Rally Day, September 12th.
CHRISTIAN LIFE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
Beginning Sunday, December 4th, the Christian Life Sunday School class will begin a study of comparative religion. Beginning with comparing and contrasting Christian denominations. We will expand the study into non-Christian beliefs. This will be led as a discussion of basic beliefs, rituals, methods of worship, and some of the historical backgrounds of beliefs. Please come to the library on Sunday mornings at 9:45 for interesting lessons and discussion.
CONTEMPORARY ISSUES SUNDAY SCHOOL FEBRUARY 2012
The Contemporary Issues Sunday School class, which meets in the Fellowship Hall each Sunday, invites anyone interested in medical news to Dr. Reggie Stennett’s discussion on the following topics:

This group uses modern literature, fiction and non-fiction, as a platform for discussion and seeking a better understanding of how to live our lives as God’s children. The first book for the fall is Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. Please watch the monthly newsletters for more information.
