Southminster This Week: Welcome View this email in your browser Southminster This Week Caritas Friends,  As you know this coming week is our annual week to host our guests from Caritas. For those of you who do not know, Caritas is a great organization here in the Richmond area that partners with churches to provide temporary housing for women, men and families who are going through a difficult time and have found themselves without a roof over their heads. Caritas also has many programs to help these women and men find jobs and access the resources they need in order to rebuild their lives. To learn more about Caritas, go to their website here. Many of you have already signed up to donate food, to help cook, clean or set up, and to stay over night to make sure our guests have someone on hand at all times. We are still looking for a few overnight hosts, if you are interested email me this week! Most of all-- I would ask you all to pray for our guests, volunteers and Caritas staff this week that God would work through Southminster to show love and grace to these women in need. This week we are praying for:  -Gordy Smith and Dave Thomas who are both recovering back at home - Dan Bice who will have additional surgery on his ankle next Wednesday - Jacob Wetzel and Christina Carter, two of our youth who are struggling with health issues THANK YOU! We raised a total of $742.68 to fight hunger in our community.  Unlike the real game the Panthers donations edged out the Broncos by just a few dollars!
