Southminster This Week

Commitment Sunday

Friends,

If you are looking for a bit of refuge and healing from the politics we have been so saturdated in for these past few months-- you have come to the right place.

This Sunday at Southminster is Commitment Sunday. We will refocus on our God-given mission to serve our neighbors and to be a light of hope for the world. This is a Sunday not just about words, but about action! So please bring your volunteer pledge cards as well as your financial pledge cards so that you can join me in the symbolic action of offering those pledge cards and claiming God's mission as your own.

After worship we will celebrate together with our Annual Scottish Tea hosted by our Presbyterian Women. Many of them are probably carefully baking scones and crafting finger sandwiches for your enjoyement right now! While you enjoy some baked goods, take a look around our Alternative Gift Market-- another opportunity for you to think about how you can make a positive impact on the world.

Looking forward to seeing you then!

Peace,

Caitlin

This week we are praying for...

- Gordon Smith- Pneumonia

-Art William's Sister- Undergoing tests

- Barbara Flynt's friend Rose Johnson- Terminal Cancer

- Pat Cifelli and Eddie Schiller who are under hospice care.
