Southminster is proud of the level of pastoral care we provide to our congregation. It is truly a community effort, with many dedicated members working behind the scenes to support the pastor and the office staff.
Pastoral Care Team
Our Pastoral Care Team, which began as an experiment in 2024, is a tireless force of nature. Like the pastor, they make home and hospital visits, and provide emotional and practical support to members who are ill, homebound, or bereaved.

Careful Chefs
Our Careful Chefs gather in the Southminster kitchen a few time a year prepare and freeze meals; when families or individuals are in need we have food on hand to share with them. Whether your family has had a recent loss or a loved one is recovering from surgery, we are glad to provide a warm meal prepared with love.

Pastor's Aid
Our team of Pastor's Aids call every family in our congregation once a month to check in on them and help them stay connected with one another. They share prayer concerns and updates with the pastor so that needs might be known and joys might be shared!
