Food Closet

Southminster is a member of the Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Alliance for Social Ministry (CCHASM) which offers help to area residents in crisis situations.

As a member of CCHASM we operate a Food Closet that houses and distributes food to families in need by appointment twice a week, serving up to eight families per week.  This is an ecumenical effort. We partner with 18 other churches that help support our mission and serve over 300 families a year.  Our clients range from the elderly with extremely high medical bills to multi-generational families dealing with lay-offs and unemployment.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Food Closet, please contact the church office.

If you are in need of food assistance, please contact the CCHASM office at 804-796-2749. To learn more about CCHASM, visit www.cchasm.org/.
