Seeking Accompanist
Southminster Presbyterian Church, a 300-member PC(U.S.A.) congregation in northern Chesterfield County, is seeking an accompanist for our sanctuary choir rehearsals and Sunday worship service. Qualifications include holding a bachelor’s degree in a music-related field or equivalent work experience; demonstrating proficiency in church music with expertise in organ and piano; and displaying a passion for engaging the people of God in making a joyful noise. The sanctuary choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and we hold one worship service at 11 am on Sunday mornings. The choir does not rehearse during the summer months. Our congregation primarily uses the PC(U.S.A.) Glory to God hymnal and appreciates the variety of music styles it contains. The church has a two-manual Rodgers organ and a Kurtzwald fully rebuilt grand piano. You can learn more about our congregation at www.southpreschurch.org.
