Irma REcovery Mission Trip
Our team spent two weeks (October 1st - 15th) in Immokalee, Florida. This rural, agricultural community in southern Florida, bordering the Everglades, was hit hard by Hurricane Irma.

Our fresh herbs and tomatoes went over so well with our Food Closet clients last summer, we decided to expand this year. We now have two garden beds and lots of plants.

Richwood mission trip: April 1 - 8, 2017
This spring, Southminster Presbyterian Church, in partnership with the Presbytery of the James, made its second mission trip to Richwood, West Virginia to help repair damage caused by flooding in June 2016.
The Great Nursery remodel: February - march 2017
Earlier this year, in light of a growing toddler class, a plan was hatched to update and revamp the nursery into a fun and inviting "faith space" for our littlest members. This labor of love was undertaken by our members, Craig & Naomi C. See the transformation below.
